《马氏文通》是我国汉语语法学的开山之作。马建忠的“静字”学说,其立名既参照了前人的成说,又赋予了自己的语法观,其范围与现代汉语中的形容词相当。马氏将静字分为两类:象静与滋静;马氏静字作定语、谓语为“常”用,作其他成分为“变”用。另外,马氏又论及静字与虚字之组合情况,其论述贡献与缺陷并存。
