traumatic stress | negligencia | This study tested the associations between various forms of stress on non-medical use of prescription drugs (NMUPD) by young men in Switzerland. NMUPD was highly associated with the number of potentially traumatic events young men were confronted with earlier in life, as well as with having recently had problems with family or friends. Measures describing family functioning, such as a lack of parental support or monitoring, showed almost no associations with NMUPD. Physical and sexual assaults showed more associations with NMUPD when perpetrated by strangers than when perpetrated by acquaintances | sexual assault | family functioning | control parental | agresión física | 家庭功能 | 家长监督 | uso no médico de fármacos recetados | 同伴影响 | Non-medical use of prescription drugs | parental monitoring | physical assault | 性侵犯 | estrés traumático | peer influence | 创伤性应激 | 身体攻击 | 非医疗用处方药 | agresión sexual | funcionamiento familiar | influencia de los compañeros | neglect | UNITED-STATES | PSYCHOMETRIC PROPERTIES | PROTECTIVE FACTORS | SUBSTANCE USE | SCHOOL STUDENTS | PSYCHIATRY | PSYCHOLOGY, CLINICAL | MIDDLE SCHOOL | COLLEGE-STUDENTS | HEALTH-RISK BEHAVIORS | DAILY HASSLES | LEARNING THEORY | Narcotics | Alcohol | Addictions | Stress | Sex crimes | Prescription drugs | Assaults | Pain | Analgesics | Antidepressants | Addictive behaviors | Teenagers | Drug use | Caregiver Impairment | Multiple Traumatic Events | Followup Study | Young Adults | Survivors | Neglect | Swiss | Males | Child Abuse | Child Sexual Abuse | Interpersonal Violence | Predisposition | Prescription Drug Abuse | Interpersonal Interaction | Life Experiences | Self Esteem
