ObjectiveTo investigate the immunohistochemical expression of glucose transporter 2 (GLUT2) in patients with hepatogenous diabetes and its significance....
chronic hepatitis B | or liver cirrhosis | hepatogenic diabetes | body mass index | and one patient with liver cirrhosis had enhanced expression of GLUT2 in the regenerative nodules of hepatocytes. In the 10 patients with hepatogenous diabetes | and the least significant difference t-test was used for further comparison between any two groups; the Fisher′s exact test was used for the comparison of categorical data between groups. ResultsThere were significant differences in fasting blood glucose | especially the cell membrane near the sinus cavity. In the patients with normal liver tissue | chronic hepatitis B group | and hepatogenous diabetes group). A one-way analysis of variance was used for the comparison of continuous data between groups | glycosylated serum albumin | the expression of GLUT2 in liver tissue tended to gradually decrease from the central vein to the portal area | from June 2012 to July 2014. Immunohistochemistry was used to measure the expression of GLUT2 in liver tissue in all four groups (normal group | glucose metabolism disorders | and proportion of liver tissue with steatosis between the hepatogenous diabetes group and the other three groups (all P<0.05). Immunohistochemistry showed that GLUT2 was mainly expressed in the liver cell membrane | with no significant difference from the expression of GLUT2 in the sinus cavity. ConclusionPatients with hepatogenous diabetes tend to have steatosis in the liver tissue and a significant increase in the expression of GLUT2 | 6 had significant steatosis of the liver tissue and strongly positive and relatively even expression of GLUT2 at the site of steatosis | Capital Medical University | glucose transporter type 2 | glycosylated hemoglobin | liver cirrhosis group | as well as the cytoplasm around steatotic hepatocytes

to investigate the association of patients′ clinical manifestations with the indices for laboratory examination | all P<0.05). Compared with the HBC patients with abnormal glucose metabolism | 7.251 | incidence rate of abnormal glucose metabolism | and 3.770 | the chi-square test was applied for comparison of categorical data between groups | ascites | P=0.003). There were significant differences in the incidence rates of dim complexion | and insulin resistance index between the ALC and HBC patients with abnormal glucose metabolism (t=2.770 | 6.331 | and 6.312 | a significantly higher level of gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase | and the manifestations of abnormal glucose metabolism are not obvious. Related examinations should be performed for these male patients with liver cirrhosis of various causes | telangiectasia of the face | 5.214 | 7.887 | 5.778 | all P<0.05). ConclusionThe male patients with ALC or HBC gradually develop abnormal glucose metabolism with the deterioration of liver function | 2.966 | liver cirrhosis | 3.274 | insulin resistance index | malnutrition | and the Spearman rank correlation was applied for correlation analysis. ResultsCompared with HBC patients | and 5.210 | hepatorenal syndrome | 5.143 | including 97 with abnormal glucose metabolism (69 male patients and 28 female patients). A controlled study was performed for the clinical data of ALC and HBC patients with abnormal glucose metabolism | and impaired glucose tolerance (31.1% vs 14.1%) (χ2=4.371 | 3.316 | the ALC patients with abnormal glucose metabolism had significantly higher levels of aspartate aminotransferase and total bilirubin | fasting hypoglycemia (27.0% vs 10.3%) | 2.651 | all P<0.05). There were significant differences in the fasting blood glucose level | hepatitis B | including 54 with abnormal glucose metabolism; the other 213 had HBC | 4.784 | P<005). Compared with the HBC patients with abnormal glucose metabolism | insulin level 2 hours after meal | and 1.633 | ALC patients had significantly higher incidence rates of abnormal glucose metabolism (730% vs 32.4%) | spider angioma | hepatic encephalopathy | and upper gastrointestinal bleeding between the ALC and HBC patients with abnormal glucose metabolism (χ2=3.785 | and a significantly lower level of albumin (t=4.775 | and Child-Pugh class. The t-test was applied for comparison of continuous data between groups | P=0.001 | a significantly greater mean corpuscular volume | alcoholic | all P<0.05). The Spearman correlation analysis showed that in ALC and HBC patients | the ALC patients with abnormal glucose metabolism had a significantly higher incidence rate of Child-Pugh class A (χ2=7.520 | jaundice | glucose metabolism disorders | 3.771 | with individual etiology and features of liver cirrhosis | hepatogenous diabetes (35.1% vs 14.6%) | the incidence rate of abnormal glucose metabolism was positively correlated with Child-Pugh class (rs=0.41 | 6.124 | hepatomegaly | 74 had ALC and were all male | 1974 | spontaneous bacterial peritonitis | and a significantly lower incidence rate of Child-Pugh class C (χ2=6.542 | 5.843

ObjectiveTo analyze the clinical features and laboratory test results of patients with autoimmune hepatitis (AIH)-primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) overlap...
a serum total bilirubin level of 38.07±6.82 μmol/L | and a serum gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase level of 57.57±78.84 U/L. ALP showed significant difference between the patients with AIH-PBC overlap syndrome and control groups. The serum level of immunoglobulin M in overlap syndrome patients was 3.33±2.12 g/L | and the positive rate was significantly different from those of two control groups. Without liver biopsy | and it took the longest time (8±7.7 d) to confirm the diagnosis on admission. ConclusionThe clinical manifestations of patients with AIH-PBC overlap syndrome are more similar to those of PBC patients | but their biochemical test results are more similar to those of AIH patients. AIH-PBC overlap syndrome has the clinical features of both AIH and PBC | and multiple comparisons were made by SNK-q test; comparison of qualitative data between groups was made using R×C contingency table | ObjectiveTo analyze the clinical features and laboratory test results of patients with autoimmune hepatitis (AIH)-primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) overlap syndrome | laboratory test results | as well as their correct diagnosis rate and time to diagnosis. MethodsFifty-three patients who were diagnosed by liver biopsy as having AIH-PBC overlap syndrome from January 2009 to June 2013 were selected as subjects; 53 AIH patients and 53 PBC patients were selected as control groups. Their clinical manifestations | and multiple comparisons were made by Scheffe′s confidence interval test. ResultsThe 53 patients with AIH-PBC overlap syndrome had a serum alanine aminotransferase level of 173.65±52.08 U/L | the correct diagnosis rate was the lowest (52.83%) | and diagnosis on admission were retrospectively analyzed. Comparison of normally distributed quantitative data between groups was made by one-way analysis of variance | 27 were positive for anti-mitochondrial antibody-M2 | a serum alkaline phosphatase (ALP) level of 293.81±28.89 U/L | which was significantly different from those of two control groups. Of the 53 overlap syndrome patients

and 2014 (χ2=11.78 | diaphragmatic rupture (n=2) | severe liver cirrhosis | standard intraoperative procedure | liver neoplasms | PLA from January 2012 to December 2014 were selected | acute renal failure (n=1) | catheter ablation | and the complication-related mortality was 5.56% (1/18). The incidence of PMCT-related complications showed a significant difference between 2012 | and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases (n=1). One patient died of the complications above | but the patients with liver tumors in special sites | tumor implantation metastasis (n=1) | and 2014. Measures for prevention and treatment were summarized. The chi-square test was applied for comparison of categorical data between groups. ResultsA total of 18 patients experienced severe PMCT-related complications | with an incidence rate of 2.76%. These complications included intra-abdominal hemorrhage (n=10) | liver abscess (n=2) | and enhancement in preoperative prophylactic treatment | 2013 | P=0.003). ConclusionUltrasound-guided PMCT is generally safe | and other systemic diseases still have a high risk. The indications for PMCT should be followed strictly | postoperative complications | and ultrasound-guided PMCT was performed for all the patients. The occurrence of post-PMCT complications was observed and compared between the years 2012 | intestinal fistula (n=1)
